Watched: Hoopla (03.06.20) A simple story of a girl with autism who is begging for a chance to show the world what she can do. Constrained by the limits of both her emotional ability and peoples faith in her physical ability (based on past actions) she may have stumbled upon a solution in a Star Trek script contest. A task that will lead her on an adventure of a lifetime. Dakota Fanning is amazing as the lead and the script does not let her down. The twists and turns will keep you on the edge of your seat while you'll also be uplifted and heartbroken at the same time. It really is THAT good.

The first 40 minutes of this movie is a fantastic recap of the career of one of wrestlings all-time greatest villians. The "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase. From his days in the Bill Watts owned Mid-South to his days in the Crockett owned Carolina territory to his career defining character run in WWF it's all touched on (albiet briefly) in this first 40 minutes. Then the wheels comes off and it descends into a boring mess that zeroes in on Ted's well known love of OTHER woman (meaning not his wife) and for the next hour we get to rehash it over and over and over. We get Ted's reactions, we get his two sons (very dramatized) reaction, we get his wifes reaction...along with Ted's pastor, friends, family, co-workers, the mailman and people who've never heard of him. Seriously! A movie just on his wrestling career is way overdue and I'd watch that. Or a movie just about his faith and his diddling of every ring rat that came near would be interesting (for some) but when you combine both it's like a boring version of the stuff you see on CBN without Pat Robertson's looney commenary. Avoid!

Watched: Hulu (03.04.20) Jessie Buckley shines as Glasgow born Rose-Lynn, a woman fresh out of prison with a dream of being a country music star. Her mother thinks (at first) it's a waste and would prefer to see her daughter focus on raising her two kids. But what ends up happening is a life changing journey and made for a hell of a story. One of the best movies on this list. HIGHLY REOMMENDED.
